U of I System invests nearly $2 million in arts and humanities

A new, nearly $2 million initiative by the U of I System aimed at emphasizing the impact and influence of the arts and humanities was announced Jan. 24. The Presidential Initiative to Celebrate the Impact of the Arts and Humanities will fund projects such as pop-up galleries, an Illinois writer’s festival, theater renovations and using virtual reality to teach performance across the three U of I universities.
